Welcome to our Blog!
Our intention for this first blog post is to introduce you to our approach, our dedicated providers, and our group ketamine therapy offerings. In future posts, we'll share educational insights about ketamine, functional wellness, and practical tips for healthy, happy, well-being.
A Community Approach to Healing & Wellbeing
At Bee Well Community, we believe in the transformative power of connection, vulnerability, and shared experiences. My mission is to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where individuals can embark on a profound journey of healing and self-discovery through Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and auricular acupuncture (POCA 5-PNP).

Meet Our Expert Team in Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Our experienced team, led by Amy de la Garza, MD, and Ivy Rose Marsh, LCSW, brings over 30 years of combined expertise in the fields of medicine and psychotherapy. Together with Philip Benjamin, we offer a community-oriented approach to healing that treats medicine with reverence and uses it as a catalyst for change.
Amy de la Garza, MD, is a certified Functional Medicine and Addiction Medicine specialist with extensive expertise in Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and group ketamine therapy. As the President of the Utah Society of Addiction Medicine, she actively advocates for legislative efforts to support individuals struggling with SUD. Dr. de la Garza is also involved in training the 5-Point Needle Protocol (5-PNP), an auricular acupuncture technique for trauma and addiction treatment. Her approach emphasizes education, progressive care models, and patient-centered, whole-person care. With a holistic perspective, Dr. de la Garza underscores the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a strong social support system in the healing process.
Ivy Rose Marsh, LCSW is a psychedelic medicine-focused psychotherapist with extensive experience in working with complex trauma, grief and loss, palliative care, mindfulness, mind-body connection, spirituality, Highly Sensitive Persons (HSP), and GLBTQ populations. She is trained in a range of complementary healing modalities, including sound healing, auricular acupuncture, somatic methods, energy work, EMDR, and parts integration. Ivy Rose believes therapy is not about illness but about wellness and optimal health. Her compassionate approach and commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment have earned her a reputation as a skilled and empathic therapist.
Philip Benjamin is a student at Adams State University with a passion for psychedelic medicine and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. As a Marine Corps Afghanistan veteran, he hopes to work with veterans using psychedelics to treat PTSD. Philip has experience as a wilderness guide and holds certificates as a Wilderness EMT and National Registry EMT. His strong commitment to safety and holding space for significant experiences makes him a valuable team member.
What to Expect from Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, has been shown to enhance neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to reorganize and form new connections. This can lower barriers and allow easier access to beliefs, emotions, and memories that might be holding you back from healing. In a group setting, the power of shared experiences can amplify the healing potential of ketamine, creating a sense of belonging and reducing feelings of isolation
Our group KAP sessions are conducted in a safe and controlled environment by trained professionals who monitor your physical and emotional well-being. The group dynamic promotes empathy and social connection among participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared understanding. By sharing your experiences and hearing others' stories, you can gain new insights and perspectives on your own journey, leading to profound personal growth and transformation
The Benefits of POCA 5-NPN Auricular Acupuncture
In addition to the group process and ketamine administration, we offer all participants the benefits of POCA 5-NPN auricular acupuncture. This specific form of acupuncture targets five points on the ear, promoting balance and wellness. Auricular acupuncture helps reduce stress and anxiety, creating a more receptive state for the ketamine experience. It can also help participants manage intense emotions that may arise, facilitating a smoother journey through difficult memories and feelings, and promoting deeper healing and integration. By addressing both emotional and physical well-being, auricular acupuncture complements the effects of ketamine, leading to more lasting changes in thought patterns and emotional responses. This holistic approach enhances the therapeutic experience, fostering a deeper sense of community and support among participants, and reinforcing the collective healing process.
